Karate Plus Martial Arts Personal Development Center in San Antonio, Texas WINS 2009 Nickelodeon’s Parentsconnect Parents’ Picks Award for “Best Martial Arts Class”.

Votes are in for Nickelodeon’s Second Annual Parents’ Pick Awards in 2009. ParentsConnect is an online resource for parents with children of all ages that offer unique features focused on the individual parents’ needs.

The awards identify winners in 52 major U.S. cities with categories ranging from “Best Museum for families; Best Toy Store; Best Playground/Park” and more. “The Parents’ Pick Awards are a quick way for parents to find the best local option for their children in a variety of activities and venues “said Dr. Larry M. Lockhart, Sr., owner of Karate Plus Martial Arts Personal Development Center. “Martial Arts Personal Development Center has provided family oriented Martial Arts Instruction and Self-Defense classes for children and adults alike for many years. We are truly honored to be recognized by our local communities in this awards program.”

All nominated businesses were chosen based on recommendations from ParentsConnect.com’s local city editors that live and work in the cities they cover, along with recommendations from ParentsConnect users. Users’ votes from May 5 – July 15, 2009, determined the winners in each category.
