Capital Preservation has become the necessity for life in today's business climate. The peaks and valleys of the business cycle make it extremely hard to survive long term, especially for those just starting. The booms and busts of the economic bubbles seem to go on forever. We have had at least 3 peaks and 3 valleys since 1997 alone. The valleys seem to get deeper and deeper as time progresses with the latest one in 2008 being the worst since The Great Depression. Thus, it is imperative for businesses to preserve capital, using every tool in their toolbox because maintaining a positive cash flow has become the single most difficult thing to do. One should always use their credit sources as a last resort. Interest payments are a drain on the bottom line and should be avoided if at all possible. Capital preservation for all is DuPage Networks only goal.
