What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a company like yours?

Don't be afraid to ask a lot of questions to ensure both you and the contractor are on the same page, THEN, get it in writing.
Be prepared to pay a Deposit to secure your date/booking.
Sometimes, the cheapest isn't always the best option...what guarantees and services are coming with that price??? Be smart and hire someone who is a pro, and has insurance!

Our year round business is Florals - Weddings, Events and Everyday Flowers.
We are very busy October through January with Holiday Lighting and Decoration installs and then later take downs- WE ALSO OFFER YEAR ROUND CLIMATE CONTROLLED STORAGE FOR ALL LIGHTING AND DECOR!

In what ways is your company environmentally friendly?

We use only LED lighting to cut down on the power draw. We also re-use and re-purpose as much as we can as opposed to throwing away and filling our landfills.

Our prices....we keep a low overhead by operating from a warehouse/office flex space as opposed to an expensive retail store front, thus allowing us to pass on lower costs to the customers.

Yes, all lighting comes with a 24 response time to fix any bulbs or outtages as well as repacement of burned out bulbs in future year installations at no additional costs.

At SMD, we hire freelancers (sub contractors) that have worked with us for years for each project that requires more than the Owner and Partner can handle themseves. Thus allowing us to save on labor and in turn keep prices down for the Client!

How We Charge For Our Services

Christmas Decorators
- $125.00 per hour (plus cost of decorations)
Each Individual job is priced different......They are all based on what exactly you want.
Do you want us to come in and decorate with all of your stuff? then we will charge an hourly rate.
Do you want us to provide all the Décor? Then it will be priced per piece, with labor and install included.
Do you want to rent or purchase?
There are a lot of varying factors and each Client is unique in their needs....contact us for a personalized quote.

Christmas Lighting - Install
- $3.00 per linear foot of lights (lights supplied by owner)
Each Individual job is priced different......They are all based on what exactly you want.
Do you want us to come in and decorate with all of your stuff? then we will charge an hourly rate.
Do you want us to provide all the Décor? Then it will be priced per piece, with labor and install included.
Do you want to rent or purchase?

- $125.00 per hour (tree and decorations supplied by owner)

Event Planning Services - Weddings
- 20.00 to 30.00 percent of wedding expenses
The percentage fee is based on total cost of items purchased or rented. The variation just depends on the complexity of the project to cover labor and materials.

Florists - Flower Arrangements
- $25.00 to $50.00 for bouquet of 12 roses
- $8.00 to $15.00 for standard boutonniere
- $20.00 to $35.00 for standard corsage
The product used and its cost determine the final price. For example, a dozen roses by themselves with some greenery and baby's breath would be $25, but add filler flowers and a glass vase and it brings the price up.

Florists - Funeral Flowers
- $125.00 to $300.00 for memorial wreath
- $250.00 to $1,000.00 for casket spray
- $125.00 to $300.00 for standing spray
- $75.00 to $150.00 for standard floral bouquet

Holiday Decorating Service
- $125.00 to $150.00 per hour (plus cost of decorations)
Labor covers cost of labor for all designers, including travel time to and from location. Also covers the cost of mechanics used such as wire, chenille stems, etc.

Holiday Lighting - Install
- $3.00 per linear foot of lights (lights provided by owner)
No fixed rates - Rates listed are for light installations provided by owner - any additional cords, timers, clips or materials will be billed accordingly. We prefer to use our lights and custom fit your house with LED lights in any color combination. First year covers purchase and then re-installed at the owner rate.

Holiday Lighting - Remove
- $50.00 to $75.00 per hour
Hourly takedown includes spooling and neat storing of items. Climate controlled storage is available at additional cost.
