Questions & Answers
Q: What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a company like yours?
A: 1. Look for reviews! 2. Avoid inspectors that take less than 2.5 hours to inspect the average home. 3. Ask for, and compare, sample reports.

Q: What is the most common type of project or service your company provides?
A: Residential inspections

Q: In what ways is your company environmentally friendly?
A: Home inspection includes examining insulation, caulking/sealing, and weatherstripping...all crucial items for energy efficiency. We look for areas of potential energy waste and recommend correction.

Q: What would you like your customers to know about your company?
A: I am the son of an ironworker and have over 30 years of engineering and construction experience. “Detail-oriented” and “honest” best describe me. I live with my wife, Susan, and daughter, Hannah, in Madison, AL where we serve as church musicians.

Q: What is your company best known for?
A: Integra has a reputation for highly thorough inspections with extremely well-written and easily understood reports. We are Huntsville's top-rated inspection firm, according to Google.

Q: What separates your company from the competition?
A: My average residential building inspection takes about three hours. It’s not unusual for older and larger homes to require four or more hours to inspect properly. I work alone, not in a team, and you get my full attention. Being thorough is more than taking my time. It’s also the ability and determination to access hard-to-reach spots. I have the tools and physical ability to inspect nearly every roof, attic, and crawlspace. Your inspection report is available no later than the evening of the inspection day. Not all Huntsville home inspectors offer this. Your inspection report is loaded with photos and videos, clearly illustrating defects and what to do about them. I hold a bachelor’s of science in electrical engineering and have thirty years of engineering and construction-related experience. Raised in a construction family, I have years of hands-on experience with homes, appliances, and related systems and components. I am an InterNACHI and ASHI Certified Inspector, licensed and insured in Alabama and Tennessee. As an engineer, I understand the need to keep up with the latest technology. I use infrared cameras, roof inspection drones, crawlspace robots, and other innovative tools to provide the best possible inspection available. Home inspectors perform visual-only examinations so I am keen on advanced technology that extends my vision and reach to see what others miss.

Q: Does your company offer a warranty or guarantee?
A: My inspections are backed by a money-back guarantee. You will be satisfied or your money back.

Q: What questions do customers most frequently ask you? What is your answer?
A: I'm often asked, "what all do you inspect?" The answer is: A home inspection is a non-invasive, visual examination of the accessible areas of a residential property to identify defects, within specific systems and components, that are both observed and deemed material by the inspector. Both Alabama and Tennessee have a list, called the Standards of Practice (SOP), that calls out the things that must be inspected. Home Inspectors may choose to inspect beyond the SOP but they are not required to. Integra’s inspections meet or exceed both AL and TN SOPs. Ten major systems are examined: interior, exterior, heating, cooling, structure, plumbing, electric, roofing, insulation & ventilation, and appliances.

Q: Does your company offer discounts to senior citizens or veterans?
A: Not at this time.

Q: Describe a project or service that your company recently completed (include challenges, costs, and innovative solutions).
A: Although we complete several hundred inspections a year, one of the most challenging and interesting was that of a 120-year old Victorian mansion in a historic district. The inspection required nearly 8 hours but uncovered some very unique and unusual defects.

Q: Is your company a member of any associations?
A: We are both ASHI and InterNACHI members.

Q: Tell us a little about your company.
A: Integra provides top-quality residential inspection and radon testing services to Huntsville and surrounding areas for home buyers, home sellers, and homeowners. There are many Huntsville home inspection companies to choose from but Integra is the only one with thirty years of engineering and construction-related experience. I bring unmatched attention to detail, professionalism, courtesy, and respect to every inspection. Choose the top-rated home inspector.

Q: Has your company received any awards?
A: no

Q: What forms of payment do you accept? (cash, check, credit cards, etc.)
A: We accept check, credit card, cash, Venmo, and PayPal.

How We Charge For Our Services
Home Inspection Services
- $325.00 to $521.00 for less than 2,000 sf house
- $375.00 to $657.00 for 2,000-4,000 sf house
- $525.00 to $759.00 for +4,000 sf house
- $375.00 to $555.00 for 2,000 sf house (most typical)
Integra’s residential inspection fees are based on the home’s square footage and age. Larger and older homes cost more as they require more time and care to inspect. Newly-constructed homes cost the least. The inspection fee covers the time and expertise to inspect the property, write and publish a detailed report, research any unusual findings, and confer with clients and agents. Of these, the inspector’s knowledge and experience are the most valuable.

Pool - Inspection
- $149.00 to $150.00 for inspection and report (olympic size commercial pool)
- $149.00 to $150.00 for inspection and report (standard size residential pool)
Pools and spas are inspected using the same methodology and approach as the home. It's a visual-only, basic examination. Potentially serious defects are referred out to specialists.
