Try to get to know the person/company that you call for estimates, before making any decisions. If you think something's shady, it probably is. Last but not least, get everything in writing, for larger invoiced projects, get it on contract.

- $45.00 to $75.00 per hour
- $1.00 to $2.50 per square foot
I have an estimate invoicing app called, Joist that I use for every project. Everything is itemized, individual priced. I submit estimate and if its say someone on fixed income, I contact them after sending my itemized quote. I then ask what is in your means or budget for project, then negotiate comfortable agreement for both parties.

- $1.50 to $3.00 per square foot
Depending on the services requested and circumstances, and weather commercial or residential.
