Questions & Answers
Q: What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a company like yours?
A: It is imperative that you hire a company that is properly insured and bonded. Many fireplace servicing companies have low prices but they accomplish this by not properly protecting their clients' homes with general liability and workers' compensation policies.

Q: What is the most common type of project or service your company provides?
A: Our most common job today is annual service or repair of gas fireplace inserts and log sets. When we first started in this industry, most of our business was wood burning fireplaces. Over the years, Denver has substantially reduced the number of wood-burning fireplaces and replaced/upgraded them with natural gas or propane units.

Q: In what ways is your company environmentally friendly?
A: All of ash, burned logs and creosote residue is "recycled" into compost or natural, chemical free fertilizer.

Q: What would you like your customers to know about your company?
A: We are locally owned and operated by Colorado Natives. We offer honest and up front evaluations of your fireplace and most services we provide are fixed prices.

Q: What is your company best known for?
A: Over 30 years, we have expanded our services outside of fireplaces. We offer basic plumbing and electrical services as well as HVAC, insulation, drywall and flooring replacement (carpet, laminate, ceramic tile).

Q: What separates your company from the competition?
A: Many chimney sweep companies today no longer "sweep" the chimney but rather use vacuums to remove creosote buildup. We feel vacuums don't do an adequate job so we still sweep chimneys from the roofline using metal brushes.

Q: Does your company offer a warranty or guarantee?
A: All our labor is guaranteed for 1 year from the date of service. We only install original equipment components, which usually carries either a 1-year or 3-year warranty from the manufacturer. All chimney caps have a lifetime warranty.

Q: What questions do customers most frequently ask you? What is your answer?
A: The most common question asked is how often a fireplace needs to be servicedt. As a general rule, a chimney needs to be swept after burning between 1 and 1 1/2 cords of wood. This is only a guideline as there are many factors that affect this number, such as the overall length of the chimney, type of wood being burned, and wind patterns. Gas fireplaces should be serviced every 3-4 years, even if it is not used frequently, due to potential gas or carbon monoxide leaks.

Q: Does your company offer discounts to senior citizens or veterans?
A: Military and 65+ seniors receive a $20/service discount.

Q: Describe a project or service that your company recently completed (include challenges, costs, and innovative solutions).
A: A client recently requested that we install a chimney cap that he had privately purchased online. After arriving onsite and inspecting the unit, we determined that the cap he purchased could not be properly secured due to the way the home was originally constructed in the 1940's. We recommended a different style of cap and mounting system that offered better wind protection and cost less than the cap he originally purchased online.

Q: Tell us a little about your company.
A: We are a small business organized a an "S" corporation here in Colorado. We have 3 teams, operating out of Aurora, Lakewood, and Northglenn so that we can offer quick responses to our clients' needs, regardless of what area of town they live in.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept? (cash, check, credit cards, etc.)
A: We accept most forms of payment, includes cash, check, all major credit cards, paypal and venmo.
