How To Do Effective Online Marketing For Your Local Business

If your products are only available in your brick store front then you are missing out on thousands of potential sales. Why only sell during selected hours of the day when you could sell 24 hours a day? You could be generating sales while you sleep at night in the comfort of your bed.

If you have a website, good. If you have products for sale on your website, very good. If you have your products listed on places like Ebay, great. If your website is SEO optimized linked to your Ebay store and social media accounts all driven by the increased exposure and likelihood of internet users to stay engaged through video marketing then fantastic

If you do not already have a website don't worry; nowadays getting a website is very affordable and even easy to create. Places like Go Daddy will give you templates so you can plug in your content, domain names are very low cost and hosting fees are less than buying a specialty coffee.

The fees that Ebay charges to list your item and the final value fees are well worth the massive traffic that your products will be exposed to. Now that that is out the way let's focus on social media. Creating a Facebook and twitter page is very simple and key to an effective online media presence.

If you really want to make the most of these social media tools you want to incorporate a great video highlighting your business. You want to upload the video to all of your social media outlets as well as your website. All the statistics point to the fact that video improves SEO optimization, retains visitors and converts more people from browsers to buyers.

So, let's say you own a clothing store in a small town. You get 5 customers a day on average during your hours of 10am-7pm Monday through Saturday. That is 30 customers a week 120 a month. Now lets say you also did everything mentioned above. You got the website, optimized it with keywords and video. Joined various social media sites and promoted your business through video, pictures and engaging posts. You listed your clothing items for sale on sites like Ebay and linked them back to your constantly updated site. Now because of all this online effort you sell an additional 10 items a day 7 days a week. That is an additional 70 sales a week or 280 a month. Can your business use an additional 160 sales a month? I am guessing the increase in sales would not make you angry. I will not venture into the possible increase in revenue and profits because I think the picture is drawn quite well already.

I have told you everything you need to do for a successful online campaign so there is nothing left but to do it. See you in cyberspace.
