What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a company like yours?

Go with a trusted and established company in Wyoming. We are upfront and honest, we won't price gouge due to the high liability of air quality issues. We perform all testing and mitigation to current standards which we are certified under. We highly recommend having several bids for work to be done.

We recycle. On mitigation projects, we try to save any materials that can be re-used versus throwing everything away.

I have been in the construction trade since 1994. I started my inspection and mitigation company in 2004. I live in Pinedale Wyoming. I do work all over the state of Wyoming, so far this year we have done jobs in Gillette, Casper, Riverton, Shoshoni, Sheridan, and Greybull.

Bathroom Mitigation
This is a picture of a project we did. Our client called for a mold inspection because they were sick all the time with cold like symptoms. The wall tiles in the shower enclosure were loose when we did an inspection. We quickly determined with our infrared camera that there was moisture behind the wall tiles. Once mitigation began, the wall literally started to crumble away. This a great example of mold behind a wall when you think everything is fine.

How We Charge For Our Services

Mold - Remediation & Removal
- $80.00 to $130.00 per hour (plus materials)
- $2.00 to $15.00 per square foot
It's very difficult to give a square foot price due to many variables when doing mold remediation. If just cutting out the sheet rock and treating the exposed wood was involved, it'd be simple to bid but that's rarely the case. Typically we have to remove flooring, baseboard heaters, water heaters, toilets, vanities, and etc. I've never given a "per square foot price" due to all the variables.

Mold - Testing or Inspection
- $100.00 to $120.00 per hour for on-site sampling
- $70.00 to $140.00 per sample for lab testing (surface or air)
- $250.00 to $350.00 fixed fee for residential mold inspection (includes 2-3 samples for lab testing)
I charge $250.00 for a mold inspection without air testing. If you'd like just air testing, it starts at $170 which includes 2 tests and $70 per sample after the initial 2 tests. I don't charge an hourly fee.

Radon Gas - Testing or Inspection
- $100.00 to $150.00 fixed fee for radon test (typical four bedroom home)
A typical radon test is $150.00. We don't charge per room, it's based on 1 radon test which is a minimum 48 hour test.

Toxic Lead - Testing or Inspection
- $150.00 to $170.00 fixed fee for xrf inspection (typical 3-4 bedroom home)
- $70.00 to $120.00 fixed fee for soil test
- $70.00 to $140.00 fixed fee for water quality test
- $250.00 to $300.00 fixed fee for on-site sampling and lab testing (up to 5 samples)
Costs are based on turnaround times and number of samples taken or sent to the lab.
