What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a company like yours?

When deciding on a moving company, clearly define what you are moving and your specific moving needs. Consider the quality of moving service and level of expertise, not just cost. Ask about the moving process and what to expect, especially if you have not used professional movers recently. Plan ahead, if possible, especially during the May - September peak season.

We recycle boxes, plan our routes to reduce truck emissions, perform truck maintenance to improve efficiency, provide references for customers to recycle, rather than dispose of, unwanted (but usable) items, including participation in the food donation program "Move for Hunger", reduce paperwork where possible and some employees even carpool.

We are a family friendly, professional company with years of experience. Many of our staff members have been with the company over 10 years and some much longer. We feel that shows we are a quality company that cares about our customers. We have the expertise to provide small move service to managing some of the most complicated relocation projects. Our company has the expertise and personal dedication to do our best service for you. We have been in business over 40 years and are an agent for Bekins Van Lines, one of the oldest moving companies, celebrating 125 years. Quite simply, we know what we are doing and we provide service at the high level of service we would expect if we were moving, ourselves.

Does your company offer a warranty or guarantee?

In many cases we can offer a guaranteed price. We follow local and interstate regulations and not all situations allow for guaranteed pricing. Also, should there be a claim or dispute, we follow local and interstate regulations to provide resolution. Further, we explain all of this as well as provide information in writing, so that any guarantees are understood.

Does your company offer discounts to senior citizens or veterans?

We offer discounts where legally applicable. Century Moving, Inc. is regulated by Illinois and interstate moving authorities. We have staff that has or currently serves and Century Moving has won the "Patriotic Employer" and "Above and Beyond Award" from ESGR - Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. Also, we have close relationships with many senior living communities who recommend our services.
