Logo Design Development Guidelines




The company logo design is the face of a company — the very first impression — so its style is very important. When implemented correctly, it is a powerful resource to your client’s brand. However, creating efficient custom company logos needs much more than just graphics, like any line of work that includes a set of specific skills, logo design needs plenty of practice and experience for it to be successful. If your logo design contains text, either as part of the logo or in the tag line, you will need to spend some time searching through various font types and examining them in your design before making an ultimate decision. Make sure the font is readable when scaled- down, especially with script fonts. The more unique the font, the more it will identify the logo.

The Objective Is Recognition. The whole point of coming up with a company logo design is to gain company recognition. So, how do you go about doing this? Well, it ranges from situation to situation, but the objective with the logo is to immediately recall the brand to mind. The key to making a well-known and familiar custom company logo is to incorporate all of the components mentioned in this article: size, style, color, typography, and originality. Overlooking any of these during the design process will damage the quality of your final design. Analyze your own logo and see whether it satisfies all of these requirements.

Dare to be Different. To stand out from the competition, you must identify yourself as a designer with a unique design. Rather than duplicate another design or style. Be modern and stand out from the crowd. So, how can you be different? Try splitting the guidelines of design and taking risks. Try a wide range of designs to discover the one that performs best for your customer. Try different shade blends until you discover one that creates your design truly unique. Have fun with the design system you use, and keep remodeling the design until you feel you have got it right.

Keep It Simple. The easier the logo design, the more familiar it will be. For example, the Nike swoosh is an incredibly easy company brand name and is also one of the most familiar on the globe. Follow the K.I.S.S. guideline right from the beginning of the design procedure.

Go Simple on Effects. Adobe Illustrator, Freehand, Photoshop, and other graphics programs are effective resources and have many filters and effects that you can apply to your logo design, but never get carried away! There’s a time and place for these highly effective resources, but it is not actually to style a logo. Of course, enjoying around and seeing whether they boost a logo is excellent, but just remember that simplicity is the key.

Create a Design “Assembly line.” To generate continually high-quality logos, you need to create your own design procedure, or “assembly- line.” This should involve the following steps:

Research
Discuss and Produce ideas
Initial sketches
Create vector designs
Deliver to client
Add or eliminate anything the client wants
Complete the design and resubmit to Client
This will help you improve your work, remain structured, sustain concentration, and generate better excellent and more constant results with each job.

Use Other Designs for Inspiration Only. The last guideline for logo design is quite simple: Don’t duplicate other designers’ work! While there can be nothing incorrect with being motivated by other logo designers, duplicating another individual’s thoughts or work is lawfully incorrect.
