Price. My answer is that depends. How long do you plan on living in this home. What type of roof/siding system are you looking at. What is the shape of the sub structure. I ask lots of questions then tailor the quote to your answers.

The last project we completed was a 36 square ranch house damaged from Hurricane Mathew. It had 15 year old three tab shingles with no ridge ventilation. Also an old brick chimney for a defunct oil heat system. We removed the chimney and replaced with plywood. Striped the entire roof to the sheathing. Replaced any rotted sheathing. We then cut the ridge to allow for ridge vents. The customer wanted a high quality material at a good value. We installef GAF Timberline HD shingles, new drip edge, ice and water rubber membrane in all valleys and roof penetrations for added leak prevention. We started at 8 am and completed the job the next day by noon.

We are a small but dedicated to quality company. We take great pride in our work and I personally manage all aspects of the project. I use highly trained and qualified sub contractors and demand they work safely. I started 35 years ago as an apprentice carpenter, worked my way to a master Carpenter then started a business building custom homes and high end remodels. That company didn't make it through the 2008 recession. Now I specialize in home exteriors. Roofing, Siding, Windows and Doors.
