What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a company like yours?

Make sure that they are licensed Architects if you are looking for the talents and training of a licensed Architect. The State lists licensed architects. Write down exactly what you want designed before you meet with the Architect. This is called the Program; the Architect can help you with the details of the Program, but you will need to communicate the "big picture". If it is a commercial project and you don't know what you want the Architect can assist you in determining "highest and best use". You should fully understand the scope and terms of your agreement with the Architect before you retain the Architect. Make sure you have a good relationship with your Architect and if you hire him you need to trust their advice like you would trust the advice of any other professional.

Residential work requiring the seal of an Architect/Engineer. Custom residential work. Retail and Commercial projects including Tenant Improvement work.

The Architect is capable of selecting material that are certified green. The Architect is also capable of design that will improve building efficiencies leading to conservation and smaller carbon footprints.

I am a highly experienced architect with over 35 years of experience. I owned a 14 person architectural firm in Seattle and have completed several hundred projects. Today I am more of a "gentleman architect" and work out of my home office on a limited number of projects that fits my schedule. I do both hand drafting and AutoCAD 2016 as well as Sketchup.
