Questions & Answers
Q: What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a company like yours?
A: Do you need an ‘architect’? architects are ‘registered’ with the State Board of Technical Regulations. Many people claim to be capable of designing your building or home. You can even design your house yourself! I’ve helped people do it. A building with public access/services almost always requires a registered architect. Your municipal building department determines who you are ‘required’ to use.

Q: What is the most common type of project or service your company provides?
A: 2016 PROJECTS – ARIZONA PRO-BONO • ASPIRE Academy, Tempe – completed, tenant improvements, school for disadvantaged children and young adults. COMMERCIAL • CHASSIS TECH/AIR BAGIT – Mesa, factory/warehouse/office. nearly completed. 20,000 sf warehouse addition to existing 35,000 sf warehouse/factory/office. • COSIC TRANSPORTATION – Glendale, completed. 2 acre parking lot for semi-trucks. Q: In what ways is your company environmentally friendly?
A: this appllies for commercial and residential projects - some ‘design guidelines’ from Residential Architect magazine, Feb 2005 A good design starts with good site consideration. This is where energy efficiency starts! An architect will help you find the right design by exploring the opportunities with you I’m very aware of opportunities for energy conservation; utilities, water, materials. First! Think in terms of a space efficient smart project. I really do [.....]

Q: What would you like your customers to know about your company?
A: I'm a one man shop. When you call, I answer the phone. But don't be surprised by the scale of some of my projects. I really did do all the architectural for them, like a 20,000 sf warehouse. I also have a good team of consultants for all disciplines. We work together a lot and are very efficient and cost effective.

Q: What is your company best known for?
A: I listen first. My fees are reasonable. I'm still a professional. I suggest we talk before you buy or lease a property. I may be able to save you money.

Q: What separates your company from the competition?
A: I understand that if the doors aren't open, you are not making money. I do everything I can think of to get your doors open as soon as possible.

Q: Does your company offer a warranty or guarantee?
A: i don't carry errors/omissions insurance. Most of the time it just isn't necessary. If the scale of your project warrants it, i can obtain it in a couple weeks. My role is to design your project with you. It needs to satisfy your needs and goals. Once we get to that point, I coordinate the necessary consultants to get your project submitted for permit review. I've never not gotten a project permitted for construction. Since we are working with a bureacracy, i'm never entirely sure what will happen, no one is. But the process is basically similar with every municipality, county and state.

Q: What questions do customers most frequently ask you? What is your answer?
A: first question: how much do you charge? - my answer, we have to meet at the site and talk about what you want to do, your goals, etc. The site tells me a lot of stuff. I've even counseled people not to buy a piece of land, and they didn't. i meet at the site the first time free of charge.

Q: Does your company offer discounts to senior citizens or veterans?
A: on occasion i do a project 'pro bono'. I have a soft spot for kids and education. I have done pro bono for a women's shelter in Phx and a school in Tempe. I'm starting a pro bono project for a school for inner city kids in Phx soon.

Q: Describe a project or service that your company recently completed (include challenges, costs, and innovative solutions).
A: CHASSIS TECH/AIR BAGIT – Mesa, factory/warehouse/office. nearly completed. 20,000 sf warehouse addition to existing 35,000 sf warehouse/factory/office. I field measured the existing 35,000 sf of buildings and the site. It is a factory, with fairly complicated methods of production. The City of Mesa worked with us to resolve design and site issues.

Q: Has your company received any awards?
A: I'm not really interested in awards. My goal is to satisfy the clients needs and goals. I take the most pleasure out of seeing a client's business succeed. I've done some city recreational projects, and coming back to them a year later and seeing them fully occupied with kids and families enjoying themselves is much more important to me.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept? (cash, check, credit cards, etc.)
A: i accept check and cash.
