Know standard practices and protocols for remediation and costs associated. Ask question no matter how seemingly small. Check certifications and licenses. Read customer reviews on Angie's List, Home Advisor, Thumbtack etc. Never allow anything other than environmentally safe and GREEN chemical applications to your home or business, child, and pet safe is our main concern when applying any chemical solutions.
It has been our experience that cost savings are a consideration when choosing a company, however, if the cost is lower than XACTIMATE pricing (Insurance industry standard pricing software), it will either increase as the project moves along or the remediation will most likely be incomplete. Never pay for home inspections or estimates.
